![]() ![]() From my point of view, not many people support custom content in the RO2 Community. It's the community, the "modding" community, and the community in general left, after RO2, the community is vastly different, which is one, if not the main reason, there isn't as much modding. But to see 2-3 mods make some success I guess is a good sign that it is accomplishable. It the grand scheme though in terms of modding, it seems like the devs didn't intend on people making them, or I'm just being to harsh and it's a matter of the Tools and resource. Publicado originalmente por |-KG-|Reno|6TH|-KG-|:Yeah Ro2 isn't historically accurate, there could be a whole thread about that nail in the coffin, but I don't think tripwire or any other dev company would make a WW1 game, seems like Indie Devs make WW1 themed because they want to have that game made for themselves, while other devs have seen how making games that appeal to smaller groups of gamers have gone downhill, and look for something a little more mainsteam. ![]() Yeah Ro2 isn't historically accurate, there could be a whole thread about that nail in the coffin, but I don't think tripwire or any other dev company would make a WW1 game, seems like Indie Devs make WW1 themed because they want to have that game made for themselves, while other devs have seen how making games that appeal to smaller groups of gamers have gone downhill, and look for something a little more mainsteam.īut if yeah I would play any Ro2 expansion and I bought Verdun so if this was a WW1 game I wouldn't mind it, I just personally like more building to building combat, But I think alot of people would be confused if a WW1 game didn't have trenches, even though not every front had trenches as big as the ones in the west. I was working on one over 2 years ago and evolved it into another mod since there was already Grabenkrieg, but now they're all dead. Advance positions, capture trenches, capture towns etc. Why not just use the same kind of gameplay as RO2 (which is in Verdun). Because when you going to an Ro2 pub theres ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 15 automatic weapons out of the 32 people on that team.Īnd why would we have to sit in trenches? RO2 isn't historically accurate at all, nor are any games. But I think you just want more rifles than autos, WW1 is more trench warfare implying this is the western front, but the earlier Red orchestra made a better job of making sure SMGs and didn't have un-realistic gun play (not entirely thats almost impossible), and balancing the hipfire recoil of MGs. Historiclly most of the Western front was sitting in a trench waiting to get killed or to kill, it's not very fast pace like most people like FPS, the best WW1 game I found was probably source ww1. ![]() But WW1 honestly, I don't know why people like it so much. But shuting you down defeats the purpose of your thread, but we've all heard or suggested the same thing. Publicado originalmente por |-KG-|Reno|6TH|-KG-|:Theres tons of threads suggesting expansion of Red orchestra 2, theres 4-5 mod teams making other fronts or factions or whatever, You working on one as you claim would know that. Verdun "claims" it was influenced by Ro2 to make it's game but I don't think it's entirely like this one, overally WW1 games are a bit of thing that don't catch on well or don't have a good enough team to make one really good, Overall the WW2 genre seems small enough I couldn't expect a WW1 games to be coming out that freqentlly.
